Saatbau Linz

The location Linz is our seed centre and hub for all the SAATBAU subsidiaries in Austria and abroad. It is the company seat of SAATBAU LINZ eGen and SAATBAU ERNTEGUT GmbH.

Since the construction of the company headquarters and the seed processing plant in 1962,the SAATBAU site in Linz has been developed through continuous enlargement and modernisation to become a multifunctional seed centre and state-of-the-art seed untertaking in Austria.

Production

At our location in Linz we take-over about 30,000 tonnes of seed every year. Modern high-performance facilities process the seeds to achieve highest seed quality and availability. Our central laboratory tests and examines about 7,000 samples and 3,500 germination samples per year.

Our Seed Centre Linz produces certified seeds of more than 300 varieties of 30 different crops.
It functions as our main distributing warehouse and allows us to supply customers in Austria and abroad with highest quality seeds.
