Description

SIDNEY is an open pollination variety in the late maturity range and impresses with a high yield potential in humid areas. SIDNEY it characterised by excellent oil quality similar to high oleic varieties. It shows a very low glucosinulate content combined with very high TGW and medium oil content. From an agronomical perspective, it exhibits an average early vigour and good regeneration in spring, its winter hardiness is also on a good average level. SIDNEY shows very good stem healthiness, the resistances to the relevant diseases Sclerotinia and Phoma are high.
