SONJA is a 2-row winter malting barley with high yield potential in dry areas and belongs to the medium maturity range. SONJA achieves very good grain quality, the screening value >2,5 mm is very high. All technological parameters are in an advantageous range. SONJA achieves an excellent malting quality. From an agronomical point of view, resistances to Puccinia hordei and powdery mildew are at a good medium level.
