ALICANTUS

  • excellent nitrogen efficiency
  • very high protein content
  • very early maturity
  • high drought stress tolerance

Description

ALICANTUS is a high quality awned winter wheat variety and achieves best values in protein content, wet gluten content, falling number and flour yield. It is well adapted to dry areas with very early heading and very early maturity [and shows good drought stress tolerance]. It’s protein yield is excellent, confirming a very good nitrogen efficiency. The high TGW and high specific weight are combined with good milling properties. ALICANTUS also achieves favourable alveogram values for export. Its susceptibility to powdery mildew, fusarium head blight and yellow rust is low.
